Mintimer Shaimiev has met Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow
On 19 May at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counselor Minitmer Shaimiev and the Chairman of the regional State Council Farid Mukhametshin had a meeting with the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan (Turkmen: Halk Maslahaty) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, where they discussed possibilities of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan in culture, education and historical heritage.
Mintimer Shaimiev also showed the guest the exposition of work of the Regional Revival foundation on preservation of historical and cultural heritage and told him about the projects of revival of the Ancient Town of Bolgar and the Town-island of Sviyazhsk, establishment of the Bolgar Islamic Academy and restoration of the Cathedral of the Kazan Virgin implemented by the foundation.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow also got acquainted with the new projects of the Revival Foundation on establishment of the multi-lingual educational complexes Adymnar.
